About Us
Joey and Lisa have been working in the tree services industry for several years. They started their first company and successfully ran it for 14 years. However, as is often the case in life, big changes came their way. In August 2022, they made the difficult decision to sell their company and embark on a new journey in a different service area.
Starting a new business is never easy, but Joey and Lisa are confident that with hard work and dedication, they will be able to establish a thriving tree care business and make a positive impact in the lives of their clients.

Joey Sullivan - Owner/OperatorÂ

Joey started in the tree care industry over 15 years ago as a Danger Tree Feller for BC Ministry of Forests Fire Protection.

He loves working in the industry but his favourite jobs are the removal of LARGE trees.
​
Joey has maintained good standing with the ISA since 2012 and has extensive training and education in tree/plant health, risk, and care. With his combined education, experience and dazzling personality he has become a well loved Arborist by many of his customers and companies he works with.
Lisa Sullivan - Owner/Operator
Lisa started helping Joey on pruning and removal jobs before they started their first company when she was in university finishing her B.Sc. in Earth Science. As their business grew she organized the administration side of things, became an ISA Certified Arborist, created the companies safety program, and then shifted into a consulting role becoming a Registered Consulting Arborist in 2013 shortly before the birth of their 1st daughter. Lisa has continued her education taking courses in Insect & Disease Management, Tree Appraisal, Tree Risk Assessment, and more.
Lisa and Joey now have two daughters, who also love trees. With their second daughter transitioning into school Lisa will be back to consulting and helping out in the office. She is excited to get back to work.
Vlad Correa - Crew Lead
Vlad has been a certified arborist for a number of years and has worked with Joey and Lisa for nearly a decade. Vlad is a core member of our team, personable and hard working. When he's not in the trees Vlad is hanging out with his daughter or skateboarding!
Robbie Kuhnlein - Crew Lead and Estimator
Robbie is an outdoorsman who has found a love for trees working with Joey and Lisa over the past few years. We are happy to have him a part of the team.
Tracy Houghton - Administrative Specialist

Tracy joined the Cowboy Trail Team in the spring of 2023 to help coordinate the happenings in the office. She has proven to be a valuable addition.

Cashe Erskine - Crew Member & Certified Bird            Nest Surveyor

Cashe Joined Cowboy Trail Tree Service in 2023 and has quickly become an invaluable member of the team. He has obtained a Certificate of Completion of The Avian Nest Sweeps and Monitoring Methods from the Natural Resources Training Group. This Certificate allows Cashe to survey a future job site to ensure it is clear of rare or endangered birds when the work is being done within the Migratory Bird Window between April and October. These 'Bird Sweeps' are often required for work being done within the national parks.
