I was camping this past weekend and noticed the sad looking trees surrounding the site. The lower branches were dead and stubby, or gone! It’s sad but many people don’t seem to care about the health of the trees. One broken branch doesn’t matter right? But if multiple people think this, it ends up being numerous branches. Eventually a tree has lost the branches on the lower 10 feet or more.
Treating the trees with care does not mean you cannot use them. But be aware of how you are using them. If you hang something on a branch, ensure the branch is big enough for the job. When tying something around the tree, watch out for delicate branches and ALWAYS untie what you have tied.
